Rowanjoy Bride - Delphine

It's so lovely getting all these photos through from last years brides and today I get to share Delphine's wedding and dress. Delphine chose to have the classic Chloe dress with a little change of adding covered buttons down the back. The style suited her perfectly and she styled it very simply with a soft up-do.

 Delphine got married in Timberyard, the most fabulous restaurant and bar just up the road from my studio. If you are looking for somewhere to go in edinburgh for delicious food and even better cocktails then this is the place to go. I love that from there the whole wedding party walked to the evening venue and it is so nice to see shots of the dress in motion.

Rowanjoy Bride - Lindsay

Lindsay was the bride I made cry.

 I first met Lindsay at the Glasgow Wedding Collective fair, she had spotted the Ava dress, took it away to try on and came back crying, EEk! But phew, thankfully they were happy tears as she actually loved the dress.

After coming into the studio and trying it on again Lindsay was sure that this was to be her dress. We decided on some changes to the design - a change to the neckline, raising the back up and adding a bit more lace to the back. The finished dress has a lovely organic feel to it with all the hand sewn lace pieces creating a soft edge around the back and neckline.

I absolutely love the photos of Lindsay's day which took place at the beautiful Crear. I knew when she told me that Kitchener Photography were her photographers that they would be nothing short of beautiful. And well I wasnt wrong, that last photo, stunning.

Glasgow Wedding Collective - Wedding Fayre 15th January

Towards the end of last year I became a member of the Glasgow Wedding Collective. The name may be a little deceptive as it has wedding suppliers from all over Scotland. Next weekend sees its 2nd official outing with a vintage style wedding fayre. There will be a variety of fabulous suppliers from vintage inspired photgraphers, letterpress stationery, yummy cakes and a whole load more. There will be plenty to inspire all you brides to be with all the details of your big day.

I am currently holed up in the studio creating 2 new bridal styles to debut at the fayre. I have a sneaky peek of the beautiful beaded lace I am using in one of the dresses for you below.

So for all you newly engaged folks out there that are looking for some imspiration this is the perfect opportunity to get you started. The wedding fayre is on at the Hillhead Bookclub, 17 Vinicombe St (just off Byres Road), Glasgow and is on from 11am-4pm. Hopefully see you there.
